The CS5 Ultra Touring uses a silica-rich tread formulation with a high-turnup single polyester ply casing, two steel belts, and a spiral-wound jointless nylon cap ply for a cushiony ride. Where the rubber meets the road, there’s an asymmetric all-season tread pattern with an outboard shoulder that features larger tread blocks, and an inboard section with higher sipe density, and circumferential grooves to resist hydroplaning.
