The Golden Oakland is a handsome evergreen Holly that has distinctive variegated foliage that is golden-yellow and glossy green. Golden Oakland has an upright growth habit that is great to use as an accent, hedge, mass planting, privacy planting and will also look great in containers. When planting this Holly, select a location that receives full sun to partial shade, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball a half inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in Spring and water regularly.
