OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Assurance Finesse is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire offers great year round traction. It uses the all season compound and the symmetric ribbed tread design to enhance the grip on dry, wet and winter weather surface conditions. The high-density siping placement and the firm surface contact increase the grip throughout the year with additional biting edges, securing the tire’s traction during the drive. The compound, on the other hand, maintains the rubber flexibility in various temperatures, from the heat of summer to colder winter weather situations. The tread’s four circumferential grooves disperse water and slush from below the footprint, effectively preventing hydroplaning and further improving the driving safety levels in wet weather conditions.

The ideal tread design’s various elements work together to enhance the controllability and maneuvering. The ribbed pattern’s constant surface contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The shoulder ribs and their siping pattern improve the cornering capability by heightening the number of biting edges gripping the road surface during maneuvering. The tread’s high-density siping placement manages to boost the braking power. The sipes create friction between the tire and the road surface to shorten the tire’s braking distance. As a result, the tire upgrades the driver’s control over the vehicle.

The Assurance Finesse promotes a quiet and comfortable performance. The ribbed pattern’s ideal surface contact allows the tire to closely follow the road during the drive. This minimizes the road vibrations felt in the vehicle’s cabin as it enables the tire to absorb the shock of driving. The tread’s closed shoulder pattern prevents airwaves from entering the footprint and coming into contact with the tread elements. In this manner, road and tread pattern noise is not generated and soundwaves cannot reach the vehicle’s cabin. As road disturbances are not heard or felt by the passengers, the model offers an enjoyable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
