Equipped with internal, self-testing components that are always checking to ensure the device is operating as expected, while ionization sensors provide smoke and fire detection, giving you peace of mind. In the event of smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide gas, the unit will sound an 85-decibel alarm in addition to a voice warning system that provides a clear announcement of “Fire,” “Warning, Carbon Monoxide,” “Caution, Carbon Monoxide Previously Detected,” or “Low Battery.” The Kidde smoke alarm also features LED warning lights in conjunction with an 85 decibel alarm that alert you to various status: a green light means the unit is in proper working operation, while a red light indicates a smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide incident. The test-hush button feature allows testing of the alarm, while the hush button allows for temporary silence of the alarm. Operates on (3) AAbatteries (included). Allows for interconnection in a multiple station configuration that will enable wireless communication with other compatible alarms in the case of a smoke or CO event. Installation of the interconnect system is quick and easy and avoids the hassle of extensive wiring and labor. Per NFPA guidelines, the interconnected system should not exceed the limit of 12 smoke alarms, or 24 total devices. UL Certified.
